In the Netherlands, the AVG is further supported by the AVG Implementation Act. At the same time, data subjects’ privacy rights are significantly strengthened, with heavy fines for non-compliance. In addition, privacy laws are being further tightened by the upcoming ePrivacy Regulation, which will replace the current cookie law.
