On 10 September 2025, Guldemond Advocaten will be represented at Legal Geek Europe in De Hallen in Amsterdam. Julia van Leeuwen will participate in an interactive international round table discussion on one of the most pressing issues in the legal world: trust in the relationship between lawyer and client – and how technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and the human factor influence and shape that relationship.
This session will bring together professionals from various areas of the legal sector: lawyers, corporate lawyers, legal operations specialists, innovation experts and legal tech entrepreneurs. Together, they will discuss the role of technology in legal services today and in the future.
Key questions at the table
The round table is all about reflection, exchange and looking ahead. Some of the questions that will be addressed include:
- Where does technology or AI strengthen client trust – and where does it actually undermine it?
- In which situations do the human factor and the lawyer remain indispensable for building a strong client relationship?
- Efficiency through Teams is not the same as genuine collaboration. How can we combine digital working methods with building personal relationships?
- Is trust shifting from traditional recognition, such as diplomas or rankings, to data, technology and insight into processes?
- What will be fundamentally different in the way clients experience legal services in ten years’ time?
Thinking ahead with trust in mind
Legal Geek Europe is known as the platform for progressive ideas about innovation in the legal world. Julia is looking forward to exchanging insights with colleagues from home and abroad and contributing to a conversation that is becoming increasingly relevant for our clients: how do we, as lawyers, remain reliable, human partners in a world where technology is developing at lightning speed?
