We are delighted to announce that our colleague Julia van Leeuwen has been nominated for the Legal Women of the Year Awards: Upcoming Talent 2025/2026.
On March 10th, she will take part as a finalist in the debate for the title of Upcoming Talent of the Year 2025/2026 at the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, in which the finalists, under the guidance of the Netherlands Debate Institute, will discuss current issues which they believe deserve greater attention within the Dutch legal community.
The programme for the day is as follows:
14.20 – 14.30 Opening address by the chair, Roderik van Grieken (Director of the Netherlands Debate Institute)
14.30 – 16.00 Three rounds of debates, interspersed with interviews with Katja van Kranenburg (Legal Woman of the Year 2024) and Claudia Batstra (Upcoming Talent of the Year 2024)
16.00 – 16.30 Break and jury deliberation
16.30 – 16.40 Announcement of the finalists
16.40 – 17.00 Interview with Marry de Gaay Fortman (partner at Houthoff and supervisor and non-executive director at various organisations)
17.00 – 17.30 Final debate
17.30 – 17.40 Spoken Word by Saf Benaskar (solicitor at Van de Boom Solicitors, called to the Bar of England and Wales) and jury deliberations
17.40 – 17.50Announcement of the winners
17.50 – 18.00 Closing
