Daan specialises in corporate transaction law and advises clients on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions. He previously practised as a lawyer for 7.5 years, during which time he also completed the specialist M&A course at VU University Amsterdam, enabling him to gain further expertise in transaction law. Since 2025, he has been working as an independent legal practitioner and is affiliated with Guldemond Advocaten.

In addition to his legal practice, Daan is active as a property entrepreneur in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. He owns a property investment company operating across several islands and is a director of a development company involved in several major construction projects on Curaçao. Drawing on this combination of legal and entrepreneurial experience, he works primarily from Curaçao.
